NJ Scam Alert: Careful using credit/debit cards at Convenient Stores

In recent days, one customer noticed a run on her card from a scammer after a recent Debit card counter (not kiosk) purchase at her friendly neighborhood WAWA. Information gained from "skimmer devices" have consumers watching credit card and bank activity like a hawk. A $1000.00 purchase attempt for concert tickets on Stubhub. A Vincentown WAWA customer was "scammed" at an indoor ATM Machine as she tried to withdraw cash for a gas fill-up. A few hours later, her bank account was hit with purchases to a place called Rural King. Scammer attacks have also been reported at a WAWA in Galloway Township in recent days. IS anyone safe these days? Capital One gives signs to watch: Pay attention! Card Slots that can easily be pulled away from the machine( gentle tug). Glue marks around the edges of the keypad can also be a sign of a tampered machine with underlying skimmer chips and camera. A New Jersey McDonalds was also hit by scammers.
