Oscars: The Holdovers' features South Jersey rising star

There are some many talented artists in the world and Atlantic and Cape May County, NJ have been a hotbed in recent decades. From the global superstardom experienced by Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Frank Sinatra and others to our homegrown born and raised featured on American Idol, the Voice and other big stages. Enter actor Dominic Sessa, who grew up in Egg Harbor Township and now lives in Ocean City, NJ. Sessa had a major supporting role as a troubled youth Angus Tully opposite. Paul Giamatti in the Oscar nominated movie The Holders. From South Jersey to Variety's "10 Actors to watch for 2023," The 21 year old is ready to build on his breakout success. A one-time student at Alder Avenue Middle School in E.H.T. to attending Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts the filming location for The Holdovers'. It turns out "right place~right time" as film crew auditioned on campus students. Sessa was one of 12 selected students who auditioned for the role. The Holdovers' was nominated for five Oscars, including best picture. So, it's off to the races for one of our own, Dominic Sessa!
