Due to rude fan behavior, The Philadelphia Phillies have announced the decision to discontinue infamous $Dollar-Dog Nights at Citizens Bank Park beginning in the 2024 season. Players were likely getting tired of the mustard and ketchup stains on their uniforms, getting pelted on the field during bad play. One local area restaurant, however, has "stepped up to the plate" with their own Philly Dollar Dog special. Juana Tamale, a Mexican restaurant located close by on Passyunk Avenue says it will offer it's own $Dollar-Dog special to celebrate the Fightin's and their loyal, passionate fan base. Juana Tamale already offers a $2 hot dog and a hot dog tamale, so why not ride a cool promotional bandwagon during home games as the Phillies march to a post season and hopefully a World's championship in 2024. Owner Jennifer Zavala says the restaurant will have all the normal hot dog fixings plus some Juana Tamale special toppings at an extra cost. No vegan fare yet BUT no rush, that's not baseball. Who goes to the ballpark to eat vegan?? Give us the real thing! Juana Tamale is located at 1941 Passyunk Avenue, a 10-minute drive from the ballpark. Check it out during home games. GO Phillies!
