The drunken state. It knows no bounds. It crosses all lines of societal and financial status and ethnicity. A New Jersey police chief who showed up drunk and belligerent to other responding officers is out of a job and career after his public display of bad behavior. Bradley Beach Police Chief allegedly attacked his officers and also ridiculed employees and swore and spat at staff. Chief Leonard Guida has a lengthy history of misconduct including racial profiling, on-duty drunkenness and violence according to a damning report by the Monmouth County Prosecutors office. "The findings outlined in this report illustrate unmistakably that over the previous year and a half, Chief Guida has been an active hindrance to the very law enforcement agency he was entrusted to lead," Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said in a statement. Happy retirement Chief!"
