I had been eyeing The Bake Shoppe in Hammonton, New Jersey, for quite some time, and I finally decided it was time to check it out. Let me just say...it absolutely lived up to the hype!
The first thing that surprised me was the line. That's always a good sign, right? As soon as I walked inside, I felt like I had stepped into a kid's dream. The bakery has such a chic, welcoming, warm, and cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay and look at everything.
Then I saw the cinnamon buns...and my jaw dropped. They were MASSIVE! I have never seen cinnamon buns that thick in my life. They looked almost too good to eat (almost!).
Since it was my first visit, I may have gone a little overboard—but honestly, I had to! The chocolate chip cookies were served warm, soft, and perfectly gooey. Every bite was delicious. And don't even get me started on the Rice Krispie treats...they were HUGE! Everything in the display case looked fresh, homemade, and impossible to resist.
You know when you see a place all over social media and wonder if it's really as good as it looks? Well, seeing The Bake Shoppe in person is an entirely different experience. The pictures don't do it justice!
