The deadline for college students in New Jersey to apply for financial aid is fast approaching. Students attending a New Jersey college or university in the fall have until September 15 to submit their financial aid applications to be eligible for state grants and scholarships for the academic year.

The New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA) is available to assist students with the application process. Students are encouraged to reach out for help if needed. According to the New Jersey Higher Education, the state offers some of the most generous financial aid in the nation, with programs like the Tuition Aid Grant (TAG), Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG), and Garden State Guarantee (GSG) available to help cover tuition costs.

For those who are not U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens, the New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application is available for NJ Dreamers. It is crucial for all applicants to meet the state deadlines to be considered for these financial aid opportunities.

Students can find more information and resources on the HESAA website. With the deadline looming, students are advised to complete their applications promptly to ensure they do not miss out on potential financial aid.
