What is going on with today's youth? As the result of incidents on Memorial weekend boardwalks, the City Of Ocean City has announced new guidelines for teens on the boardwalk. NO backpacks after 8pm and an 11pm curfew for kids under 18. A memorial weekend melee and stabbing on the Ocean City boardwalk prompted the immediate response by the mayor's office. Insisting, the angry group of kids were not local residents but had to "come over the bridge into town" only to end up causing a disturbance among the peace-seeking tourists and visitors looking for some beach tranquility and quiet time away from busy lives and responsibilities. Local municipalities are quick to to point to the State Of New Jersey and Governor Murphy handcuffing law enforcement and being lax on issuing fines for teens who seemingly just want their 15-minutes of fame on Tik Tok. Wildwood experienced boardwalk mayhem over Memorial weekend resulting into a temporary shutdown of all activity and access. "Youth is wasted on the "Young," no doubt. So, when is the best time this old-timer can sneak up to the boards for a refreshing Kohr's Bros. Swirl cup?
