A once favorite local brewing company has closed its doors and, in its space, a new baseball training facility takes over. The Baseball Training facility started out in business in Pleasantville in a modest 4,000 square foot facility and simply outgrew it space. Owned by former MLB and Philadelphia relief pitcher Mike Adams and his partner Ed Charlton, the school's hitting instructor was a part of St. Augustine Prep's first ever state championship team and was the Press Of Atlantic City Player Of The Year in 2011 and First Team All-State. Both partners are current scouts for The Milwaukee Brewers. Peak Performance Sports Physical Therapy coexists with the training facility. Athletes from 9 years old through college can get expert tutelage and injury prevention through proper training techniques Pro players will also be associated with the programs at the facility. The Baseball Training Facility is located at 3092 English Creek Avenue nearest the West Jersey Avenue intersection at the former location of Tuckahoe Brewing Company. Now, as a baseball fan, I wish this team all the success finding us our future stars on The Fightin' Phillies. BUT I'll forever miss my 8oz. pour of Steelmantown Porter on the weekend.
