I am NOT a Philadelphia sports fan. Listening to Philly Sports media following a loss of any of their teams is a BLITZ stronger than The Giants or any team can put on the Birds for one. It is GREAT entertainment! Today, Heavy Sports (Heavy.com) ran a headline: Eagles starter reveals "leaks" from locker room in brutally honest message". Birds starting Safety Kevin Byard spoke candidly about "leaks everywhere" from within the team. Byard explained in an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer on January 6th: "I think playing for this city, you have to really operate in a different way". A.J. Brown, hurt in the season finale against the Giants commented, "For example, I come from Tennessee, which is obviously a smaller market, I feel like it was very easy to keep in-house things in-house. It's very different here." My conclusion is I believe no coach or player likes playing here, coming here. Exception: Bryce Harper? He seems to say just the right things to ascend to rarified air with local media. I also believe Mike Trout, the once invincible Millville Meteor, now in his early 30's, would get scorched by local media should a slump or injury surface. Back to present fixation: Wild Card First Round: Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Yes, looking forward to day-after commentary.
