East Coast Roofing, Siding & Windows Launches “Project Honor” — A Commitment to Donate 25 Free Roofs to Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, and Widows in 2026

Mays Landing, NJ — East Coast Roofing, Siding & Windows is proud to announce the launch of Project Honor, the company’s most ambitious and faith-driven charitable initiative to date. In celebration of America’s upcoming 250th anniversary, the South Jersey–based contractor will donate 25 full roof replacements throughout 2026 to active-duty military members, U.S. veterans, and widows of veterans across eight South Jersey counties.

Project Honor reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to service, patriotism, and community impact. As a GAF Master Elite President’s Club roofer — a distinction held by less than 2% of contractors nationwide — East Coast Roofing, Siding & Windows is honoring its founder’s legacy by providing top-tier roofing systems at no cost to those who have sacrificed for the nation.

First Recipient Announced: U.S. Navy Veteran Michael Vonschondorf

East Coast Roofing, Siding & Windows has officially selected the first recipient of Project Honor: U.S. Navy veteran Michael Vonschondorf of Waretown, NJ.

Vonschondorf served on active duty from 2003 to 2011, completing multiple Western Pacific deployments and supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. He concluded his service with numerous commendations and now lives with a 100% service‑connected disability.

Michael and his family have been struggling with a deteriorating roof on their 69‑year‑old home — a critical need that made him an ideal candidate for the inaugural Project Honor roof replacement.

A Year-Long Celebration of Service and Sacrifice

Throughout 2026, East Coast Roofing, Siding & Windows will award roofs in phases aligned with major patriotic holidays. Each installation will include a full GAF roofing system, with most recipients qualifying for the Golden Pledge® Warranty, ensuring the same premium quality provided to paying customers.

“This initiative is more than a giveaway — it’s a tribute to the men and women who have protected our freedoms,” said the company. “Project Honor is our way of covering those who served and reminding our community that freedom is never free.”
